Best new Snow Leopard feature. Nothing compares. (I’m honestly not sure if this already existed in Leopard’s Address Book. But it’s news to me. And it’s hilarious.)

So much for small interface tweaks. Huhuhu.

Espresso 1.0»

I’m not sure this will be able to replace TextMate quite yet, but version 1.0 looks solid, and some well-polished sugars would definitely help it along. Espresso trumps Coda in text editing, hands down. I’ll have to play around with the project view some more before passing my judgement on its integrated ftp and site management capabilities (two of Coda’s strongpoints).

Skitch as a site prototyping utility

This is part two. Design is not my forte, but I’m making an effort to understand it better. I appreciate aesthetics as a means of optimizing the end user’s experience. I am continually tweaking and rethinking elements of my current and previous failed theme designs. For this reason, an application that lets me annotate potential alterations and sketch out design revisions is important.

Skitch, surprisingly, does this very well:

It is no substitute for Photoshop, but it doesn’t get in the way of my thoughts.
