Metafilter music»

I doubt many people are familiar with the music section of metafilter, wherein original pieces from the community’s members are submitted for the webpublic’s enjoyment. I’ve actually come upon some excellent songs (favorite in following post), but something slightly troubling is its lack of a download button for later, potentially offline, enjoyment. Sure, the RSS feed links you to the fifteen most recent submissions, and sure, a visit to Safari’s Activity window could direct you to the file’s location, but a sexier solution is called for.

And what is it called? Why the Mysterious Musical Metapirate, naturally. It has bookmarklet support too, so you know it must be cyberhip and cybertrendy. If people actually went to MeFi music for their melodious yearnings, this would probably be a well used webapp. For now, its target audience of two is satisfied, and that is enough.

Note: Metapirate was implemented entirely by Hao Lian. I provided only immoral support.
